Join the ITMIG project on Primary Mediastinal Germ Cell Tumors

Dear Colleagues,

Primary mediastinal germ cell tumors (PMGCT) are rare tumors. Because of their paucity studies are in general small and information is relatively sparse. Furthermore, there is currently no agreed upon staging for PMGCT.

Therefore, the mediastinal working group of ITMIG is planning to study the morphologic and imaging features of PMGCT and correlate those with outcome. In addition, we plan to correlate demographic features and surgical treatment with outcome of patients and to collect molecular data. Ultimately we would like to establish a staging system for PMGCT.

If you would be interested in joining our endeavor, have any cases of PMGCT with available histologic slides and would be able to share them with us, please let us know. We would like to include you in our study. Please contact Anja Roden if you are interested in joining or if you have any questions.

We are looking forward to our study.
