Guidelines for Abstracts Submission

  • Abstract types accepted: original scientific research, clinical trials in progress, case reports (accepted as posters only). Invited speakers are encouraged to submit the abstracts of their presentations.
    • Original research papers should contain the following sections: Background, Method, Results, Conclusion
    • Case reports should contain: Background, Clinical history, Diagnosis, Conclusion

 

  • Abstract submission requirements:
    • Language: English
    • Title: limit 150 characters including spaces
    • Co-authors – no limit
    • Main text (excluding title, authors and keywords): limit 350 words
    • Images and/or tables: 2 maximum, acceptable formats: JPG or PNG, resolution for web images suggested (72 PPI), size limit: 1 MB.
    • Keywords: limit 5 words
    • Predominant discipline of the abstract should be defined
    • Number of abstracts submission – no limits
    • Submission via „Abstract submission form” below

 

  • Accepted abstracts will be published on conference webpage 5 days prior to the conference and in the journal Mediastinum after the meeting. NOTE: images or tables will be published on conference webpage only. They are not allowed for publication in Mediastinum. The journal will contact the authors of accepted abstracts with further instructions. Abstracts will be accepted for publication when they meet the journal requirements.

I am aware that presenters of accepted abstracts are requested to register for the conference until August 31, 2022, otherwise the abstract will be withheld and will not be published on a conference website.
Up to 150 characters including spaces
All authors of the abstract: first name, middle initial and last name. Multiple authors separate with coma. Add affiliations in round brackets.
E.g.: Affiliations of authors marked with numbers corresponding with authors' names.
Main text of the abstract ordered as follows: ORIGINAL PAPERS: Introduction, Method, Results, Conclusion; CASE REPORTS: Introduction, Clinical History, Diagnosis, Conclusion
